Homelite was founded in 1921 through Charles H. Ferguson. His first attempt was to design a small, lightweight gasoline-driven generator at his home in Port Chester, New York. Initially the company was incorporated as Home Electric Lighting Company but later it was known as Homelite. Homelite Consumer Products manufactures a full-line of handheld outdoor power equipment, including string trimmers, blowers, chain saws, and hedge trimmers for the consumer and do-it-yourselfer. Homelite chainsaws are ideal for felling small trees, cutting firewood and light cleanup. The Homelite chainsaws has a strong engine and it starts very easy and the automatic choke function works well. The saw acceleration is good, has a nice exhaust sound both at idle and top speed.
From the line of chainsaws manufactured by Homelite, the Homelite Timberman 45 chainsaw is a solid choice for heavy-duty jobs, at a reasonable price. The Long 20-inch bar is ideal for cutting large diameter and the 45cc two-cycle engine provides plenty of juice to cut through the thickest trees. The feature of this model includes a low-kickback chain and automatic chain brake. The anti-vibration handle helps reduce fatigue, and adjusting the chain on the fly has been made easier. The Twist Tight feature, exclusive to the Chainsaw is a neat, time-saving perk that makes it simple to either loosen or tighten the chain with a screwdriver.
