The new Makita DCS460-38 is powered by a 46cc 2-stroke engine delivering 3.5hp with a 2,600watt power rating. This saw has a 38cm chain bar and weighs just 5.5kg. The new Makita DCS500-45 has 3.3 horsepower from the 49cc, 2,800watt engine. Both engines are fully emission compliant and have aluminium crankcases for durability. The electronic ignition system contributes to the saws outstanding acceleration and the flat torque curve of the engine makes these saws really hardworking machines for the professional woodsman. Makita Chain Saws feature the 2MASS anti vibration system, which effectively separates the control handles from the motor body.
